SAÚDE EM PORTUGUÊS IS A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION AND A PRIVATE SOCIAL SOLIDARITY INSTITUTION, WITH INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN COIMBRA – PORTUGAL, BUT FACING THE WORLD!
Our Mission
Saúde em português seeks to promote social and community integration aiming at the full development of the human being, respecting and ensuring their rights and fundamental freedoms.
We have carried out cooperation projects for the development, humanitarian aid and emergency projects, awareness projects, social and community intervention and integration projects to support the most vulnerable, strategic and at risk populations.
Founded in 1993, it has already covered beneficiaries in the community of Portuguese-speaking countries and territories of conflict, war and catastrophe, all over the world.
What we Do
Promote, disseminate and apply health care;
Promote and disseminate the Sustainable Development Objectives;
Promote, disseminate and implement development assistance, humanitarian assistance and emergency assistance;
Promote the specific rights and interests of immigrants, women, children, the elderly, the disabled, ethnic minorities and other vulnerable, strategic and at-risk groups;
Contribute to the promotion of legislation and policies that guarantee the exercise of human rights;
Promote, produce and disseminate cultural activities;
Promote, coordinate and execute research projects and studies within the defined areas and lines of action;
Promote and stimulate education, training and vocational training, including education for development and health education;
Encourage partnerships, protocols and exchange of experiences with national and international organizations;
Promote volunteering in Portugal and internationally;
Establishment and subscription of protocols and agreements with any entities that are willing to collaborate and pursue the purposes of the Association;
Collaboration with official bodies in their areas of competence.
